Hey everyone, Hope your Thanksgiving was just as great as mine. Well I have decided to try making a calendar. here is a sample and it will be up to you if we go forward with it. This is a sample to gauge interest. The more people are interested and want to order will determine the final cost. The more I can order the lower the cost will be. So let me know what you think and if you would like one. We have a regular size wall calendar and a desk top version. BHA

Corsair Caricature with Character
Every now and then I add a bit of character to my caricatures. In this case I had a possible client ask about doing a Corsair with more character. This was the result. While the customer like the art work it was not what he was looking for, This has sat on the back burner for some time now. I happen to share it on FB and it seemed to get a lot of likes so here it is the Angry Corsair. If there is enough interest i will see about adding more of these to the collection.

More Air Racers
While putting the finishing touches on a few new caricature commission, I put together a few new racers from this years Reno Air Races. First is a Formula 1 racer i had been working on for awhile. Pooder, a Cassut III, race 20. I really like the paint scheme for this little racer.
Next up is another on the diminutive Unlimited field from this years Reno Air races. Race 12, The Rebel. I also have a regular proportioned side profile coming very soon. Just need to work on the name on the nose and small details.
And finally the first in a series I hope to put together called the Podium series. It will all depend on how much time I can squeeze in between commissions and other projects. Here is the first Podium… the Unlimiteds from 2016 Reno Air Races. Voodoo took the gold, Czech Mate, took second, and Dreadnought took third. Next up most likely will be T-6 class. I already have the third place finisher ( winner from last year) Midnight Miss, so just need to modify any slight changes in sponsor markings. Last night worked on the winner, Baron’s Revenge. (If anyone has pictures of the right side it would be very helpful.)So I will only need one more. Someone asked for Formula 1 and I will have to do two completely new caricatures to get that podium complete, the winner and third place aircraft. So look for the next one in the series soon.

New Air Racer, Sumthin Else
I can’t believe it has been since July that I have posted an updated. I have been busy working on a few commissions that are under wraps until they are presented to the intended. In the mean time I have had a chance to finally finish one of the air racers I have always wanted to do. The National champion from 1979, beating out the famous Red Baron who was just seconds away from a forced belly landing which destroyed the racer and badly injured the pilot, is the modified P-51 Mustang “Sumthin Else”. Owned and racer by Mr. John Crocker. I have long thought that this racer which was previously know as Miss Foxy Lady, raced by Ken Burnstien, had a very attractive and simple paint scheme. In the later years the paint scheme changes to a very dark blue and white, but this is how she looked in 1979. After Mr Crocker pass, the plane was sold and became a TF-51D owned by Stallion 51 and carries the name Crazy Horse II. Another modified racer that has been converted back to stock form. I have added two version, one with standard side profile and one with background. Check out the Air Racer section for this and more Air Racers.
I also have added my first Bristol Beaufighter to my ever growing Air Force, I have painted this in in the markings of 417th Fighter Squadron while based in Corsica. Hopefully I will do either a RAF or New Zealand AF version.
Silver Dragon
After attending the Planes of Fame air show I was inspired by one of the aircraft that attended the show. The A-26 Invader, Silver Dragon. This highly polished warbird is a tribute the men who flew the Invader in combat in WWII. She is painted to represent an aircraft that flew with the 552nd Bomb Squadron with the 386th Bomb Group in Europe. This my first A-26 caricature and hopefully not the last. I am currently working on a gear down version of Silver Dragon. I hope to have that done very soon. This time I added a bit of backgrounds and framing. There is also a second version of the Dragon with gear down. I have only done a few of these with gear down, and look to do a few more. Let me know what you think.

These mugs are the last of a limited edition set we created a few years ago. Once they are gone they are gone. So order now. $20 plus shipping.
Penhall Mustang
Hello everyone
Today we add a new racer to my Air Racer collection. The Leroy Penhall owned and raced P-51D. I loved the color scheme and the recent Mustangs International Magazine included a nice color shot of this wonderful racer. I started by doing my usual caricature version as well as one with a nice cloud background ‘in action’ piece. I then added another regular proportioned side profile to the mix. I am looking to add Seattle Miss the Mustang raced by Ben Hall around the same time as the Penhall Mustang. I am just drawn to those racers.
If anyone has suggestions for future caricatures or is looking for a special art work just drop me a line.
New for 2016
Well I hope you all had a great holiday, New Year and Superbowl. I must apologize of my lack of posts and production. The “day job” tends to kick my butt from time to time. That is no excuse just a fact. Fear not I am still working on new stuff and trying to finish up some custom work. (A-7, C-17 F/A-18 etc) I just finished two prints of the same aircraft for a customer who at first wanted the caricature of his warbird, then his wife told him he needed the regular profile to go with it. So we created a completely new art work that was regular proportions. I have to say it was a bit of a struggle as I have been doing the caricatures for so long, the new piece just looked strange. All long and thin. Anyway I think it turned out pretty good. Both art works are of the P-51D Shangrila that was flown by Dominic S. Gentile after he finished his tour with the 4th Fighter Group in England. When he returned to the states he was given a brand new P-51D so he could tour the states on a bond tour. The markings are for the 4th FG and used the same code as his P-51B Shangri-la. We will be doing a few more of the regular profiles (next up Wee Willie from Planes of Fame) and if your interested we can do a custom Mustang for you as well. Just drop us a line.
I also worked up a couple of new F-4 Phantoms, both USMC birds. This time adding some backgrounds.
Okay that about wraps it up for right now. I have a few more plus some images for the first air show of the season, the 2016 Cable Air Show and car show. Dreary day with threatening rain clouds, but some fun stuff to be seen.
